The inspiration for my textile work can come from anywhere around me, nature, exhibitions, photographs and people. Manipulating, distorting, enlarging and combining will lead me to an abstract design which will then be translated into fabrics. I like to hand dye the majority of the material I use and work therefore mostly with natural fibres, incorporating hand and machine embroidery.
