It was Alexander Graham Bell who said ” When one door closes another door opens.” For the Beyond Stitch group it is more a case of ” When one exhibition ends another begins.”
Soon after the doors closed on our last group exhibition “Deepening the Mystery” at the Apex Gallery in Bury St. Edmunds last July we met together to start making plans for the next one. Where would it be? When? For how long? Would it have a theme and if so what?
There was much research and discussion between the six of us before a consensus was reached and in the end we decided to book the lovely little Artspace Gallery in Woodbridge for a week in September 2020. Our chosen theme is “The Elements” – a broad topic which will allow each member of the group plenty of scope to develop her own ideas in her own distinctive style.
So now all that remains is for us to produce lots of exciting new work in the next 20 months. The creativity has already begun so we can share a few little details to whet your appetite. See you in Woodbridge in 2020.
